Applicant: The parent hasn't responded to my message. What should I do?

Don't be discouraged if a family doesn't respond immediately! We recommend that you send messages to several families in order to increase your chances of finding a job. We also encourage parents to respond as promptly as possible, but don't hesitate to contact them again if your messages remain unanswered.

You can also filter your search results by publication date, which will allow you to see the most recent job offers. To find out more about filtering your search click here.

To increase your chances of getting responses, Premium Membership allows you to see when the parents you've contacted have read your messages and gives you access to their phone numbers. If you find you are continuously not getting responses, you may need to add more detail to your profile. Having a previous employer write you a reference will give confidence in your abilities to those looking at your profile. To do this, head to the 'My Ads' page and click the pencil icon to edit your advert.



Under 'STEP 4 Your References' enter your experience and previous Employer details, including their mobile number.


Alternatively, it is possible to request your previous Employer to send us an email reference to contact@yoopies.co.uk , along with all of the following:

  • Your email address, so we know which account to add the reference to 
  • Name of the Employer
  • Phone Number of the Employer
  • Start date of employment
  • Grade 1-5, 5 being excellent
